2. What personal data we collect
We only collect data you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical data needed to run the website. Specifically:

- Business type and your main goal
- Any message or notes you include

- IP address and approximate location (for security and to deliver the website)

3. Why we use your data & our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your data. We rely on the following:

4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as necessary. These currently include:
- Hosting & infrastructure — our website and form data are hosted on servers we control (Hetzner / Contabo, located in the EU/EEA).
- Database — enquiry details are stored in our own database (Supabase) used to manage and respond to enquiries.
- Email — enquiry notifications are sent to our business email so we can respond.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to contact us via the WhatsApp link on our site, your message and phone number are processed through WhatsApp, operated by Meta. This only happens if you initiate contact through that channel; see WhatsApp’s own privacy terms for how they process your data.
- Professional advisers — accountants or legal advisers where required.
We may also disclose data where required by law, a court order, or a regulatory authority.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:
- Enquiry / audit requests that do not become clients: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for the duration of our relationship and up to 6 years afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations.
6. International transfers
We aim to keep your data within the UK and EEA. If any provider processes data outside the UK/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement) before any transfer.
7. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and hosting on infrastructure we manage. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our measures regularly.
